文化视野观照下的翻译研究

在全球化语境下 ,文化研究和翻译研究的关系是一种互动关系。文化研究学科定位的不确定性、主题的开放性 ,使得翻译学这门独立的学科 ,在“文化转向”的背景下 ,同社会、历史、权力、意识形态、政治、伦理道德等更加紧密地联系起来 ,翻译活动已不再是一种中性活动。在文化研究的大语境下 ,全球文化既有趋同性 ,同时也存在着东西方文化的冲突与对抗。翻译作为跨文化交流的重要媒介 ,在文化对话中的“桥梁”作用日趋重要。翻译研究的文化构建 ,必将推动世界文化的发展。

Cultural factors in translation study

There is an interrelated relationship between cultural study and translation study in the context of globalization. Cultural study is not a well-defined discipline, nor is it of a definite body of theory. Its openness to the topics of research makes translation study an area closely connected with social-historical influence, power discourse, political purpose, ideology, morality, ethics and other factors. In the broad context of globalization, though there is a tendency of mixture of Oriental and Occidental cultures, clashes do exist between them. The work of translation becomes an important bridge for communications between different cultures. The study of cultural factors in the study of translation can promote a better understanding of different cultures.
