Public relation has been introduced into China for nearly 20 years.So far there are still a lot of misunderstanding or mistaken ideas on the concept,which has restricted the development of public relations in China in a certain degree.As a kind of activity and academic discipline system which originate from the US,the development of public relations in the US has a strong reference meaning to the study of public relations in China.This text attempts to analyze the ideology of public relations scholars in the west through the describing of the US public relations practice and theory evolution.And this offers help not only to the further understanding of thought,mode and management of public relations for people,but also to the learning of the development orbit of professional theory for the academic circle.Furthermore,it contributes the people who pay close attention to the public relations to learn and grasp the theoretical system development and inherent logic relation and it offers reference to the sound development of China's public relation theory and practice under the age of information globalization.
