论西汉关中平原的水运交通

为了充实都城所在关中地区的经济实力,西汉政府特别重视漕运交通的建设。首先整治利用了前人开辟的渭汧两大自然河流的水路联运道路;其次在汉武帝元光六年(前129)于渭水南岸开凿了东西三百余里的漕渠,大为成功。不久又兴修了褒斜道漕渠线路,惜因自然原因无法通漕。在关中内部渭河北岸,也有连接洛渭两水之人工运河的修凿,它沟通了都城长安与邑漕仓的联系,作用巨大。自然河流与人工运河的相互沟通与漕运,使西汉关中的水运交通发展到其古代历史上的最高峰。

On Water Transportation in the Guanzhong Plain in the Western Han Dynasty

In order to improve the economic strength in the capital city in the Guanzhong Area,the Western Han government highlighted the construction of grain transport facilities.First,the portage between the two natural rivers,the Weihe River and Qianhe River,was regulated,next,in 129BC,a 300-li canal was dug along the southern bank of the Weihe River,which was a great success.Soon afterwards,Baoxiedao Canal was also excavated,but it was a pity that it never opened to traffic due to some natural factors.Along the northern bank of the Weihe River,the man-made canal between the Luohe River and the Weihe River was dug,which connected the transport between the capital city Chang’an and Chengyi Warehouse and had an important role.The water transport of the man-made canal and the natural rivers and grain transport reached its climax in the ancient history in the Guanzhong Area in the Western Han Dynasty.
