| 摘 要： | 从读者反应的视角探讨了委婉语在跨文化翻译中意义流失的补偿问题。委婉语是折射民族文化的一面镜子，而文化的差异常常造成翻译中委婉意义的流失。借助读者反应论，译者可以根据不同的语境，采取相应的补偿策略，使译入语读者最大限度地获得与源语读者相近的阅读效果。

| Abstract: | This paper aims to observe euphemisms and their translation in the light of readers' response theory.As euphemism is the reflection of a certain culture,it can,more often than not,cause meaning loss in cross-cultural communication.However,with the help of readers' response theory,a translator can employ different translation strategies to compensate for the meaning loss so as to bridge the cross-cultural gap. |
