| Abstract: | The present study,mainly adopting critical discourse analysis as its analytic approach,analyzes ex-President Bush’s speech delivered during the Iraqi war in terms of diction,transitivity,modality,personal pronouns and so on in order to uncover the real aims of the speech and develop critical language awareness. |
