| Abstract: | English legal terms have their own characteristic features no matter whether in grammar,vocabulary,semantics,or in logic.This paper makes a comparatively comprehensive study on English legal terms by pointing out such lexical features in English legal documents as the frequent use of archaic words and loan words,the repetition of synonyms,and legal terms to be used with precision and those capable of being used with flexibility,etc. |
