| 摘 要： | 晚清学校英语教学普遍采用同一时期盛行欧洲的“语法- 翻译”教学法。晚清“语法- 翻译”教学法不但是一种与晚清各种考试制度相匹配的教学方法，而且在培养学生书面表达以及潜在口语表达素质方面也具有其他教学方法不可替代的作用，但在培养学生实际口语产出能力方面存在着非常明显的缺陷。

| Abstract: | Abstract: The Grammar-Translation Method, which dominated in the foreign lauguage teaching in Europe for the whole 19th century, was also, for the sake of matching all examination systems, generally applied in all school English teaching in China's Late Qing Dynasty. The Method apparendy played an irreplaceable role in the training of students' written and potential oral English expression qualities,but existed obvious defects in die training of students' practical oral English production abilities. |
