语块运用对阅读理解表现的预测力研究

语块运用不仅是本族语使用中的普遍现象,对二语学习者也有重要的意义。通过实验分析二语学习者的语块知识、语法知识与其在阅读理解中的表现之间的关系,结果表明：语块知识比语法知识更能预测学习者在阅读理解中的表现．且语块知识在阅读理解中的作用基本不受语法知识的影响。

CHUNK USE AS A PREDICTOR OF READING COMPREHENSION PERFORMANCE

Chunks are of great significance for not only native speakers but also L2 learners. This paper analyzes the relationship between chunk use and reading comprehension at first. Then it reports a study on how the use of chunks predicts reading comprehension performance. The results show that the L2 learners＇ ability to use chunks is a better predictor of their reading comprehension performance than their grammatical accuracy. In addition, the effect of chunk use in prediction reading comprehension performance is not affected by L2 learners＇ grammatical proficiency.
