Realizing the Humanitarianism That Is From Charles Dickens' Novel "A Tale of Two Cities"

First,the influence of authors＇ life and the time he lived in on the writing idea of the novel is analyzed. Second, Mrs. Defarge,a radical revolutionary, plays an important rote. The character, Mrs. Defarge, represents characters of radical revolutionary hatred,lack of reason and lack of political mind . Third, through two groups comparison between Dr Manette＇ s on experience and his forgive and between Mrs. Defarge＇ s death and Darney＇ s revive,humanism has been presented clearly. The fate of the characters in the novel show Dickens＇ humanism spirit ＂Love defeat hatred？＂. Finally,from perspective of society and individual the value of humanism in current society is analyzed.
