清嘉道时期的人才危机

清代嘉庆、道光时期,官场人才总的情况是真才失意,庸才、奴才得志,出现人才危机。究其原因是多方面的,而封建专制主义的严酷压迫和为专制主义服务的传统道德、纲常名教的严重桎梏,即专制的外压和道德的内伤,是两个导致人才危机的重要因素。

During the reign of Jiaqing and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty there appeared a crisis that real talents lost favor but mediocre and minion people were popular. Among many reasons, two primary ones should have our special attention: the severe oppression of the feudal absolutism, and the heavy shackles of the traditional morality and dogma that served for the absolutism, that is, the external oppression of absolutism and the internal injury of the morality.
