摘    要:董其昌是明代中后期画坛享有盛名的书画家、美术鉴赏家和理论家,他的绘画实践和绘画理论对中国画的发展影响巨大且深远。但其后人们对这一论断褒贬不一。应将其绘画理论放在特定的历史环境中辩证地分析,以更好地指导中国画的创作。

Abstract:Dong Qichang is a famous artist,art connoisseur and theorist,who lived in late Ming dynasty,his painting practice and art theory have a significant influence on Chinese painting development.the proposal of southern and northern sects theory make him popular in Chinese painting history,it's very complex when talking about the consequence that the theory bring to us,different people have different view towards this theory.This paper puts the emphasis on the origin and the history significance of southern and northern sects theory,also presents the author's own perspective on the controversy which exists in the art history and the painting theory history fields.
