西方社会学自诞生以来的发展进程 ,曾经历了几个重要的阶段 ,对此 ,社会学史家有过不同的划分。然而 ,如果从社会学的知识特征尤其是研究范式的演变以及流派的分化与综合 ,而不是历时特征 ,我们可以把西方社会学知识体系的发展进程划分为五个具有标志性意义的重要时代 ,它们之间不仅存在着特有的逻辑性关联 ,并且每一时代都呈现出各自的特征 ,从而构成了西方社会学富于变迁性格的历史

On the Five Marked Epochs in the History of Western Sociology

Since its emergence, Western sociology has experienced several important stages about which different sociologists have different divisions. If we take its knowledge-related traits, its development of research models and its different schools rather than its diachronic traits into consideration, we can classify its development into five marked epochs which have their own logical connections and traits of changes.
