On the Importance of Construction in Art Design

The three constructions are regarded as the circulated language of modern art design, they are the important creation techniques, and are the important stages for students to transfer from basic painting to art design. Learning construction aims at extending students＇ design thinking, grasping the design method of combining rationality with sensibility, so as to lay a solid foundation for their future professional design. The teaching of construction covers several aspects as plane, color, and space, and is concretely embodied both in plane design and stereo design. During the teaching process, teachers should do ideological work well to let students realize the importance of construction in the profession of art design.
