《春秋》称名管见

学术界普遍认为,"春秋"既是各国史书的通名,也是鲁国史书的专名,这实际上是一种调和的说法。"春秋"从鲁史专名到史书通名有一个历史的发展过程。《春秋》原是鲁国史官所作,孔子作《春秋》后,左丘明为解孔子《春秋》而作了左氏《春秋》,《左氏春秋》原名亦为《春秋》。随着孔子《春秋》和左氏《春秋》的传播,"春秋"逐渐成为史书的代名词,从而演化为史书的通名。

My Humble Opinion on the Call of Spring and Autumn

It is regarded by academia that Spring and Autumn is the usual name of history records of all states as well as the particular noun of Lu history. Actually it is a conciliatory parlance. Lu historiographers wrote Spring and Autumn, then Confucius composed the other history record called Spring and Autumn too. In order to illuminate Confucius' writing Zuo Qiu-ming compiled the third Spring and Autumn. With the spreading of Confucius' and Zuo's, Spring and Autumn turned to the pronoun of history records and became the usual call of history records at last.
