高校图书馆的社会责任探析

在社会资源共享的时代,高等院校的一些教育资源已为社会的发展做出了贡献。高校图书馆是高等教育资源的有机组成部分,图书馆作为公益性的文化教育、学术机构,为社会服务是其应该承担的社会责任。高校图书馆有必要转变观念,强化社会责任意识,对社会公众开放,提供文化教育和信息服务,从其资源条件看,也具有可行性。高校图书馆应以科学发展观为指导,以建设和谐社会为目标,以适当的服务模式、创新服务方法和服务内容,参与社会文化教育、科技经济的建设,为全面提高国民综合素质做出应有的贡献,以此体现自身的社会责任和价值。

Analysis on Social Responsibility of Academic Library

Colleges and universities have some educational resources contributing to the development of society.Academic library are integral part of higher education resources,as public benefit to culture education,academic institution,they should take their social responsibility to serve the community.Academic library must change their ideas,strengthen the sense of social responsibility,free to the public to provide education and information services and it is also feasible to serve the community judging from the preserved resources in library.Academic library should be guided by The Scientific Concept of Development to build a harmonious society.And with appropriate service model and innovative service approaches,it should participate in social education,science and technology economic development in order to improve people＇s overall quality and make contributions to the community,as an expression of their own value and social responsibility.
