Abstract: | The use of the Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation-Behavior (FIRO-B)inventory in couple counseling is viewed as a cooperative counselor-client procedure that aids both counselor and client in conceptualizing interpersonal compatibility, specifying counseling goals, assessing behavior change, and facilitating an action oriented counseling process. Case histories are used to illustrate the use of the FIRO-B as an integral part of the counseling process. |
