| Abstract: | Canterbury Tales, the masterpiece of Chaucer who is one of the greatest poets in England, carries forward the great tradition of " Frame story" originated from European literature. This artistic work constructs a well-developed and unique "Narrative Frame", in which all the stories are deliberately connected together, and put into an organic unity. This thesis is to expounded the unique mode exhibited in the text by means of analyzing the Narrative Frame of the work. |
