| 摘 要： | 素质教育的直接实施者是教师,其思想、学识和能力直接影响着素质教育的效果.提高教师素质是推进素质教育的基本保证.同时,教师应在教育工作中加强教育理论学习并研究实际问题,探讨和发现新的教育方式和有效的教学方法.本文根据新时期国内外高等教育形势和发展趋势,结合大学英语教学内在规律和特点,阐述了大学英语教师在教书育人、运用现代教育技术、创新教学策略、开展科学研究方面必须具备的素质,旨在全面提高大学英语教学质量.
