基于世界英语框架下的大学英语教学

世界英语、国际英语的出现与发展,给英语教学带来了新的任务与课题。在英语全球化的冲击下,人们该如何定义"标准英语"?传统意义上的"标准英语"是否还是现阶段英语教学的唯一标准?通过介绍英语全球化与本土化背景下的英语发展与现状,分析了世界英语理论给我国大学英语教学的启示:标准英语虽然是基本的英语教学标准,但现阶段的大学英语教学必须让教师和学生树立起世界英语与英语全球化的意识,从而培养学生更广泛地使用英语进行语言文化交流的能力。

College English Teaching and Learning Based on the Framework of World Englishes

English,as an international or global language,has developed and spread worldwide as a lingua franca.The occurrence and development of "World Englishes" and "International English" create new tasks and research-based discussions for teaching and learning of the language.Under the influence of the "Globalized English," the definition of "Standard English" has become fuzzy,and the traditional concept of "Standard English" has not always been considered as the only norm of English teaching.This paper introduces the status quo of English against the background of its globalization and nativization.In addition,it analyzes the implication to English Language Teaching (ELT) based on the theory of World Englishes: though Standard English is one of the important norms of ELT in China,it is also crucial for both teachers and students to be aware of the concept of "World Englishes" in order to develop students' communicative and intercultural competence in a wider range.
