| 摘 要： | 毕永年是清末一个富有叛逆性格的文人,在哥老会中任"龙头"之职,曾经参与戊戌变法之事,后至日本与孙中山联络,奔走革命。他密切联系长江哥老会,促进了会党与革命派、保皇派的联合。他参与保皇派自立会、自立军事务,参加革命派惠州起义,他所联络的哥老会在这些历史事件中发挥了重要作用。因为各种原因,他弃自立会而去,惠州起义亦告失败。失望之余,他削发遁世,最终复萌反满之志,密谋再起,于1901年被清军乱刀砍死。毕永年经历丰富,事迹扑朔迷离,为革命奔波一生。
