The Academic Purport and Modem Value of Chen Heqin＇s Family Education

As the result of ＂May Fourth Movement＂ aiming at the new culture and new education, Chen Heqin~s book, Family Education, was the outcome of his many yearsI careful observation, experiment and research especially on his eldest son, Chen Yiming. The book reflects the practical problems which existed in the family education in those social drastic changes at that moment, and it puts forward some corresponding principles, countermeasures and suggestions, which contains much profound education philosophy. It has much important reference value and significance on rationally exploring the mystery of contemporary Chinese family education under the background of globalization.
