| 摘 要： | 美国戏剧之父尤金.奥尼尔一生创作了大量悲剧作品,深入研究其戏剧,可清晰看出作者理想破灭的一个轨迹。奥尼尔不同时期悲剧作品中的悲剧人物,其精神内涵和悲剧意义差别巨大,从与生存环境格格不入殊死斗争到一点点被外物异化,最后连成为英雄的梦都要被残酷的现实惊醒,奥尼尔悲剧对后来荒诞派戏剧和存在主义戏剧起到承前启后的巨大影响。

| Abstract: | Eugene O'Neil,Father of American drama,wrote a large quantity of tragedies during his life.Studying all his tragedies,we can find a clear trail in which the author's ideal was broken.In O'Neill's tragedies of different times,the tragic characters' spirits and contents vary greatly,in which the characters fight bravely against the surrounding difficulties until they are integrated in the surroundings and their heroic fantasies are finally broken by the cruel reality.O'Neill's tragedies make great influence on the later theater of absurd and realism drama.This essay tries to analyze the reasons of the characters' variety in O'Neill's tragedies. |
