语言非任意性的语用考察

A Pragmatic Analysis of Linguistic Nonarbitrariness

Nonarbitrariness is the antithesis of linguistic arbitrariness and it mainly consists of motivation and iconicity.As an important principle of language,nonarbitrariness manifests itself in various levels of language system.As far as language use is concerned,nonarbitrariness can provide a new perspective for the explanation of it in terms of motivation and iconicity.Upon constructing a theoretical framework,some typical examples of pragmatic use are analyzed and the findings demonstrate that nonarbitrariness is not only adequate in explaining some arbitrary phenomena of language use but also effective in explicitness and simplicity of doing so.
