PING JIANG STREET

Pingjiang Street, which winds itself alongside the Pingjiang River, is one of the best-preserved historical streets in Suzhou, in East China＇s Jiangsu Province. The street has existed since the Southern Song Dynasty （1127-1279）. It was included -- and listed as one of the city＇s main streets -- on Suzhou＇s earliest map （issued in 1229）, known as ＂Pingjiang Map.＂
