| Abstract: | This article explores the expression of causation, the causative uses of verbs and their characteristics in The Book of Odes. This exploration disproves the assumption of rare causative use of verbs in early chinese classics by demonstrating that the causative use of verbs occurred quite frequently in the early historical records. |
