语言服务应考虑着力普及汉字知识——由关涉简化字问题的手机短信引发的思考

近些年来,不少知名人士时常发表对繁体字和简化字的看法,并以此为依托,讨论与传统文化、书法甚至两岸统一等有关的重要社会问题。然而这些言论几乎都显示出人们汉字基础知识的欠缺,有的甚至是对汉字学的一无所知。为此,作者认为要考虑以大众喜爱和方便的形式大力普及汉字基础知识,这既是规范使用汉语汉字,做好语言服务的需要,也是珍爱和弘扬中华语言文化的需要。

Language Service Should Popularize Knowledge of Chinese Characters --Reflections on Cellphone Messages about Simplified Characters

In recent years,quite a few celebrities often state their views on the original complex form and simplified form of Chinese characters,on the basis of which,they further discuss some important related social issues,concerning traditional culture,calligraphy,even the unification of Liangan.However,nearly all these views indicate their lack of basic knowledge of Chinese characters,and even illiteracy of Chinese philology.Therefore,the author insists that we should devote major efforts to popularizing basic knowledge of Chinese characters in some convenient ways people like,which is not only the need of standardizing the use of the Chinese language and characters,but the need of cherishing and developing the Chinese language and culture as well.
