In politics, he made great efforts to contribute to the unity of the whole country though he met obstacles, experiencing preventing civil wars and fighting against the Japanese. In economy, he developed and protected national industry and business, encouraging oversea Chinese to invest in China, and paying much attention to the rural economy. He put forth the idea on how to develop and construct systematically the west. In education, he put some money to run primary schools, middle schools and universities, and suggested the policy of education that "morality, intelligence, physical education, collectiveness and aesthetic" should be paid equal attention to. In personality, as a man for the motherland and for the whole nation, he is a person of frankness, unselfishness and indifference to fames. As a model, his patriotism is rich in contents and full striking features, but some of its restriction deserved our attention because of historical reasons.
