| Abstract: | There have been two views concerning the time when Bai Ju-yi wrote his "After Reading Zhang Ji's Ancient Poems gu yue fu in the Chinese academic circles. One is that the poem was written in the tenth year of yuanhe reign,the other at the the first year of yuanhe reign .This article , based on the author's textual study of the poem itself and his research into some literature and historical accounts of the events that happened during the poet's life, holds that the correct time is the tenth year of yuanhe reign. |
