| 摘 要： | 本文从表达习惯、语境影响和文化内涵三方面论述了译者追求的对等不应是字面上的机械对等,而应是原文和译文对各自的读者来说在效果上的对等.而且,这种对等很难达到完美的境界,我们只能尽力追求最大值的对等.

| Abstract: | Equivalence does not mean mechanical correspondence in lexicon and grammar between source language and target language. From the viewpoints of expression, context and cultural connotation, this paper argues that equivalence is achieved when a translated text can produce in its readers a response very close to what the original readers experienced. Also, it is pointed out that we should speak of equivalence in terms of a range of adequacy, since no translation is ever completely equivalent. |
