| Abstract: | In the perspective of human ecology, the history of human development is that of the inter- action between population and environment. This article discusses the evolution of the relation between population and environment from the beginning when humans came into being through several main stages during the development of human society. It expounds why population development must coordi- nate with rational utilization of resources and environmental protection. |
