功能视域下大学英语语调教学策略研究

摘    要:功能性是英语语调的基本特征之一,在研究领域,英语语调功能分为语法功能、表态功能、重音功能和语篇功能四类。基于语调功能对国内大学英语听力教材中的英语语调应用情况进行的归纳和数据统计显示:英语本族语者倾向于借助语调实现交际意图;降调的使用频率最高;语调与句型之间没有规约关系,其选择依赖交际语境。基于语调功能和EFL语境的三种英语语调教学策略有助于提高学生的英语交际能力。

Abstract:Functionality functional is one of the basic characteristics of English intonation. In research, its functions are divided into such four categories as grammatical function, attitudinal function, accentual function and discourse function. Based on intonation function, a summary of English intonation application in college English listening materials and related statistics show that native speakers tend to use intonation to achieve communication purposes;use frequency of falling tone ranks the first;there is no one-to-one relationship between intonation type and sentence type and the choice of intonation relies on communication contexts. A trial of three kinds of English intonation teaching strategies within EFL learning environment will contribute to students’ improvement of communicative abilities.
