同化与回归——浅析托尼·莫里森小说中的民族性

美国黑人女作家托尼.莫里森在她的作品中探讨了黑人精神解放的问题。黑人抛弃或割舍黑人的文化传统,对白人文化的盲目顺从,只会使他们遭受愚弄和欺骗。更重要的是,黑人与自己本民族的文化传统的离异,其后果势必要导致黑人种族的主体意识的丧失,并危及到黑人种族自身的存在问题。黑人民族只有保持住自己的民族性,才能掌握自己的命运,达到真正的民族解放。

In her novels,Toni Morrison discusses the problem of the Black's liberation in the sense of spirit.She points out that if the Black abandons their own tradition and submits blindly to the White value system,the only result that they will receive is to be cheated and fooled.What is worse,deviation from the tradition will lead to loss of the subject consciousness and then damage to the existence of the Black.Only keeping their own nationality,can the Black achieve their liberation in the true sense.
