| 摘 要： | 成语是语言的精华 ,它包含着大量的文化特征和文化背景 ,具有鲜明的形象和比喻 ,具有鲜明的民族特色。本文在探讨了英汉成语的文化内涵的基础上 ,提出三种翻译方法 :直译法 ,借用法和意译法。

| Abstract: | Idioms, which contain much cultural characteristics and background, make up the essence of a language. They contain lots of vivid comparisons and reflect different features of different nations. In my essay, I suggest three methods of translation in accordance with the cultural connotation of English and Chinese idioms. They are direct translation, borrowed translation and free translation. |
