基督教在日本初期传播缓慢的原因

日本在1853年被迫开国之后,积极吸收西方科技文化,但是作为西方文化的一种重要内容和标志——基督教在日本却难以传播。其中固然有日本统治者之前力行海禁,严厉禁止西方传教士深入日本传教的原因,但日本作为儒家文化辐射区及其固有的神道宗教、佛教经过百年的融合已经成为相互补充的思想体系,儒学的现世、功利性等也起到了很大的作用。

Reasons why Christianity Propagates Slowly in Initial Stage in Japan

Japan has absorbed western scientific and technological culture actively afferforcing to tbund state since 1853,but regarded as a kind of important content and sign of western culture.But Christianity is difficult to prop- agate.The reasons are the following.Japanese has banned maritime trade or intercourse with foreign countries, Japan has radiated ad a Confucian culture district,Buddhism has become ideological system,and the practice and the life,utility of Confucianism,etc have plaid very big roles,too.
