文学活动中的"隔"与"不隔"

"隔"与"不隔"是王国维在<人间词话>中提出的概念.王国维主要是从创作的角度谈"隔"与"不隔".其实,从文学创作、文学翻译、文学批评角度看,都存在着"隔"与"不隔".值得注意的是,对文学活动中"隔"与"不隔"的态度却迥然不同文学创作和文学翻译都提倡和追求"不隔".作家在创作时,追求一种历历在目的清晰表现,翻译家在翻译时,也力求忠实原作,与原著在风格、语调上保持一致.而在文学批评中,批评家并不担心"隔",并在一定程度上倡导着文学批评"隔"的合理性.

Non-expressiveness and Expressiveness in Literary Activities

Non-expressiveness' and 'Expressiveness' are concepts proposed by Wang Guo-wei in his "On Literature" from the perspective of literary creation. In fact, from perspectives of literary creation, literary translation and literary criticism, the questions of 'non-expressiveness' and 'expressiveness' exist. It is worthy of notice that opinions differ as to the 'non-expressiveness' or 'expressiveness' in literary activities in that both literary creation and literary translation advocate and pursue 'expressiveness'. In creation, the authors seek the vividness and clarity of representation while in translation, the translators make painstaking efforts to remain faithful to the original work and stick to the original work both in style and tone. Yet in literary criticism, critics do not bother about 'non-expressiveness'. Rather, they advocate the reasonableness of 'non-expressiveness' in literary criticism to some extent.
