Abstract: | There are mainly two methods of naming menu in a Chinese meal: impressionistic and realistic.The realistic dishes are named by the names of raw materials,cooking,the color,fragrance,taste,shape,container,the originator and birthplace of the dishes and so on,which reflects the content and unique features of the dishes.In this paper,we will discuss the translating methods of Chinese dishes including main dishes,the staple food and snacks based on some samples. |
