| Abstract: | Based on data recorded in literature and on verbal accounts collected from on_the_spot interview with local residents,this paper deals with the indelible meritorious deeds done by Chaozhoulese pioneers at Johor and Muar in Malaysia ranging from their efforts to grow pineapple and emergence of Chaozhoulese port masters in relation to the establishment of port master system at Johor and Muar,through their contributions to the start of Port Muar,to the commercial network under the control of Chaozhoulese. |
