Confucianism, as one part of the traditional Chinese culture, had great influe nce on the development of Chinese history. In the field of management, among its management ideology, the Confucianists insisted on "controlling people" as th e target of management, suggested "doing politics with virtue and courtesy" as the method of management and proposed "running the house, managing the nation and administering the world" as the aim of management. Examining the Confucian management ideology, we notice that its humanistic concepts and adaptability in tactics are highly valued in the field of management even in modern society.
