试论近世两湖地区士民的文化性格

文化的变迁与发展，深受文化性格的影响。文化性格是人的内在的文化基因，它因各区域自然环境、生活方式、文化传统不同而形成不同的性格，而一定的性格又往往会对人们的生活态度、行为方式和该区域的文化特征产生作用。荆楚文化传统、自然社会环境和血缘因素铸就了晚清以来两湖地区士民最为核心的文化个性：刚劲尚勇、机智灵巧。历经长时间的风雨洗礼和明清移民的加入，逮至晚清、近代，两湖地区士民的这种文化性格特征更加鲜明。

On Cultrural Character of People in Hubei and Hunan Provinces in Ming and Qing Dynasties

The cultural character has a great impact on the changes and developments of culture. Cultural character is the inherent cultural genes of human beings,which varies in regional natural environment,way of life and different cultural traditions. While certain cultural character can impact on people＇s attitude to life, the way of behavior and the cultural character of this area. Jing chu cultural tradition, natural social environment and blood factors are formed the core cultural personality of people in Hubei and Hunan provinces： strong and doughty,courageous and wit. After all the odds and migrantion in Ming and Qing Dynasties,the cultural character of people in Hubei and Hunan provinces was more distinctive.
