In novels of such materials, the ties of ideal wedlock often appeal to the "law" of man-rule society--imperial firman--notwithstanding unlikelihood, but we still can reserve its core of "law" rather than the law of rule-of-law society. These novels embrace man-oriented or affection-centered marriages, resist the alienation of money-worship through eulogizing "gifted scholar's""intelligence," counterattack, with "beautiful ladies'" "affection" and their "reason," the unhealthy extremism of "lust" congested in pornography of the late period of the Ming Dynasty and the early period of the Qing Dynasty. Although there are some flaws, wit-and-beauty novels, in a whole sense, should be given a necessary affirmation for their connotations in ideas and culture.
