| Abstract: | The ups and downs Nora experiences after leaving home constitute the main themes and characteristics of modern Chinese love comedies. Based on a general review of the development of modern Chinese love comedies, thes article analyses in depth the different ways in which Nora is embarrassed and entrapped after her departure from the point of view of the different social roles for both sexes. |
