| 摘 要： | 英语学习者在阅读英文过程中时常会碰到词汇难点——不熟悉的单词和短语 ,他们首先想到的方法就是查字典。查字典固然可以弄清不熟悉的单词和短语的含义 ,但却导致了阅读中断 ,不能提高阅读速度和透彻理解全篇文章的能力。文章旨在讨论利用语境来推测不熟悉的单词和短语的含义 ,以帮助英语学习者提高阅读速度 ,大量地进行阅读 ,拓宽知识面和提高阅读理解能力

| Abstract: | Sometimes English learners encounter some unfamiliar words and phrases in English reading. It first occurs to them to consult dictionaries. In this way they can know about the meanings of unfamiliar words and phrases, but it results in reading interruption , and they cannot improve their reading speed and understanding of the whole article fully. This paper mainly discusses the way of inferring the meanings of unfamiliar words and phrases with the aid of context so that English learners can increase their reading speed, read more, widen their knowledge, and improve their reading comprehension. |
