| Abstract: | In this paper, the many theories on art emotion in Western countries in the 20th century,after having been made a macrocosmical analysis as a whole, are grouped under two sects: substantial emotionalism and functional emotionalism. Viewed from esthetic orientation of theoretical noumenon,these theories can be classified into humanistic orientation and textual orientation. |
