| 摘 要： | 北宋处于强敌环伺时代,民族关系错综复杂,为抵御外敌,北宋根据自身实力强弱和周边民族关系格局的变化,在不同时期灵活调整御边政策,使边疆政策呈现出一定的阶段性。西北市马贸易受北宋御边战略的导向,表现出不同阶段的运作特征。北宋政府利用市马贸易控制西北吐蕃,实行怀柔羁縻,以夷制夷的边疆政策。
