试论先秦乡官制度

乡官虽职低位卑，但作为国家政权最基层的官吏，其作用却是任何人都不能忽视的。本文拟通过对先秦乡官制度的研究，对作为中国乡官制度源头的这一制度的产生和演进以及乡官的选任、职责和监督考核的情况，有一个总体的认识。

On the Rural Official System in Pre-Qin Periods

The role of the rural officials at the base level of the national power should not be neglected, though their position was humble. This paper tries to achieve, through the studies of the rural official system in pre-Qin periods, an overall understanding of the rise and evolution of the institution of the Chinese rural official system and the selection, responsibilities, supervision and assessment of rural officials.
