| Abstract: | In this paper,the structural features of dwellings in villages and towns in the middle and western parts of Inner Mongolia are analyzed,as well as the damages done to them by the 6.4 earthquake attacking the city of Baotou in 1996.Greater attention is called for to the study on aseismatic design and damage prevention,and several feasible measures are suggested for aseismatic design and reinforcement of dwelling structures in such areas. |
