| 摘 要： | 应用语言学中的研究是指用科学的方法探求问题的答案，它有三个要素：问题、科学的方法和答案。根据研究目的，研究可分为理论研究和实用研究；根据资料来源，研究可分为第一手资料研究和第二手资料研究；根据研究设计，研究可分为定性研究和定量研究；根据研究范围，研究可分为宏观研究和微观研究；根据研究时间，研究可分为纵向研究和横向研究；根据抽样规模，研究可分为个案研究、小规模介入和大规模实验；根据哲学，研究可分为本体论层次研究、实践论层次研究和方法论层次研究。 |

| Abstract: | Research in applied linguistics is a scientific approach to finding answers to questions. It has three main elements： questions, scientific approach and answers. In terms of aims, it can be classified into theoretical research and practical research; in terms of source of data, primary research and secondary research; in terms of research design, qualitative research and quantitative research; in terms of research sphere, macro research and micro re- search; in terms of time, longitudinal research and cross-sectional research; in terms of sample size, case study, small-scale intervention and large-scale experiment; and in terms of philosophy, ontological research, applied research and methodological research. |
