| 摘 要： | 晚清(1840—1911)生物学医学发展的重要事件是西方近代兴起的生物学与医学的大量引进:吴其濬编著《植物名实图考》,李善兰翻译《植物学》,严复编译《天演论》,西方教会开办医院与传教医师接踵来华,英国传教医师合信编译《全体新论》与西方医书络绎传入,美国传教医师嘉约翰开创医学事业,以及教会大学培养西医人才等,使西方生物学与医学在中国开始扎根并迅速发展,特别是《天演论》的翻译和流传对中国社会的变革起了重要作用。
