试论噶当派的兴起原因及历史影响

噶当派是11—15世纪藏区影响较大的一个佛教教派，其兴起原因主要在于它适应了当时藏区的社会和政治环境以及藏区佛教的发展方向。本文强调指出，噶当派在教理教义、寺院经济制度等诸多方面影响了其他教派的产生与发展；独具特色的藏传佛教的形成也与其作为藏区第一个佛教教派的历史地位密切相关。此外，噶当派对藏区社会的其他方面亦有影响。

On the Causes of the Rise and the Historical Influences of the bKa'-g Dams

The bKa'-gdams Sect was a Buddhist sect with greater i nfluence in the areas inhabited by the Tibetan ethnic group during the period fr om the 11th to the 15th centuries, the causes of its rise mainly lay in its ada pting to the social and political circumstances and the orientation of the Buddh ism's development in the areas inhabited by the Tibetan ethnic group at that tim e. This article stresses that the bKa'-gdams Sect influenced the emerging and de velopment of other sects in aspects of the religious doctrine, the monastic econ omic system, etc.; the coming into being of the Tibetan Buddhism with unique cha racteristics also closely related to the historical position of the bKa'-gdam s Sect as the first Buddhist sect in the areas inhabited by the Tibetan ethnic g roup. In addition, the bKa'-gdams Sect also exerted much influence in other aspe cts upon the societies of the areas inhabited by the Tibetan ethnic group.
