| 摘 要： | 《诗经·邶风·静女》篇中的“彤管”为何物,历来说法不一。笔者以为“彤管”为石管。第一,“彤”字的本意是红色带有光泽而有毛样纹理的石（玉）。而彤管为红色有光泽和美丽花纹的石（玉）管。第二,古代有赠玉之习俗。第三,从出土文物中有玉管和石管的实物也可证之。第四,从“彤管有炜”句看,只有红色的玉或石经过打磨而发出的光辉才可称得上“盛赤也”。
